讲座摘要:

In this talk we discuss applications of optimal transport, linking Wasserstein distance to several machine learning problems. We start with push-forward and optimal transport plan, we then discuss regression problems without correspondence, stochastic dynamics from aggregate data, and numerical solution of high-dimensional Fokker-Planck equations.

个人简介:

Hongyuan Zha received B.S. in mathematics from Fudan University and PhD in scientific computing and computational mathematics from Stanford University. He's currently a professor in the School of Data Science at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Before, he held teaching positions in the Pennsylvania State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests are machine learning and applications.
