Title: On Truth Finding in Multi-agent Networks

Abstract: A problem named “truth-finding” will be discussed in this talk. In this problem, an event is a phenomenon of interest and our goal is to infer the states of events (e.g., articles, movies, and signals) through biased observations of multiple agents (e.g., sensors and individuals) in a network. The local bias of each agent is unknown and affects the agent's observation of the event’s true states. The following three cases of the problem will be discussed: each sequence of events is temporally correlated, agents are nodes of a social network, and the observation of each event is a graph signal.

Biography: Yang Jielong received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2012 and 2014, respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. His research interests include Bayesian networks and Graph neural networks.
